Very excited to announce my short story ‘The Ink Stain’ won the 2019 Historical Novel Society of Australasia’s Short Story Contest!
Set in 1827 in the Parramatta Female Factory, it is a glance at the struggles of female convicts in the early days of the colony.
What I'm reading
Currently loving Crossing the Lines by Sulari Gentill.
Having read a few of her Rowland Sinclair series (and thoroughly enjoyed them!) I decided to try her contemporary stand-alone story. A very worthwhile read which delves into meta-fiction, watching the writer’s mind at work whilst telling a ripping tale!
