About Me

Firstly, I love words. I love reading them, listening to them spoken and read, and (of course) I love writing them.

I have published short stories and poetry, some of which have won prizes like the Historical Novel Society of Australasia’s short story competition while others have been published in literary magazines and anthologies.

I am currently researching and writing my novel – a literary historiographical fiction of the life of Lady Dorothea Banks (wife of the inevitably more famous Sir Joseph Banks). I am a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney where I also teach in the School of Art, Communication and English.

I also love to read. When I come across books which are particularly compelling or beautifully crafted, I like to review them, both as a way to continue enjoying the book after it’s finished (we all love that when we find a good book, right?) and also a way to share my thoughts to encourage others to read.

If you have any book recommendations for me to read and review, please let me know.

And I would love to have you follow me on Facebook and Instagram.
